Starting on Amazon or Walmart: What a Launch Package Should Include

Illustrative launch-planning concept.

A first marketplace launch needs a clear listing, useful graphics and a plan for what happens after the product goes live. Treat those pieces as one coordinated project.

Start with one product and a defined launch plan

Before writing copy or building campaigns, agree on the product, variations, source imagery and account readiness. Confirm who provides business documents and product facts, who approves the content and which tasks depend on the marketplace. A written scope makes the handoff easier to manage.

Build the listing and graphics together

Research the language customers use, then connect the title, key features, description and product attributes to accurate product information. The image set should help shoppers understand the product, what is included, its important dimensions and how it is used.

DMM's starter packages include listing copy and a complete listing image set built from approved facts and supplied assets. Original photography is separately scoped. For Amazon, A+ Content, also called enhanced brand content, and a Brand Store can come later. The first priority is a complete initial product listing.

Connect advertising with the launch

Initial advertising setup belongs in the launch plan. The advertised product, offer, availability and content need to be ready together. The starter scope includes initial Amazon PPC or Walmart Connect campaign setup where eligible, with the objectives and initial budget agreed in advance.

Ongoing campaign management is a continuing service. DMM's full Amazon and Walmart management packages include the agreed advertising management work within the same monthly management fee. Standalone Amazon PPC and Walmart Connect services remain available for businesses that only need advertising support.

Understand the one-time and monthly fees

  • Amazon starter package: from $1,500 one-time for the initial one-product launch setup, listing copy, graphics, readiness checks and initial PPC setup.
  • Walmart.com starter package / catalog launch: from $1,995 one-time for the agreed one-product launch scope, including item data, listing copy, graphics, readiness checks and initial Walmart Connect setup where eligible.
  • Ongoing account management with advertising: from $995/month for either marketplace under one agreed scope. This monthly fee is separate from launch setup.

These are starting service fees in USD. Ad spend, inventory, platform fees, fulfillment charges and original photography are separate. Additional products, variations and more complex catalogs receive a custom quote. Platform approval and advertising eligibility remain the marketplace's decision.

Choose a starting point that matches your business

A new seller may need the full launch package. An established seller with finished assets may only need management, advertising or a focused listing project. DMM confirms the work, responsibilities, timing and fees before the engagement begins.
